Multiuser Access Detection for CDMA Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider CDMA systems employing packet switching where multiple users can access the system simultaneously. The problem of detecting the activity of multiple new users in an efficient manner is studied. Under the optimistic assumption of a discrete delay space,, the maximum likelihood receiver that detects the presence of multiple new users, i.e the optimum multiuser access detector, has high complexity. Thus, we propose a suboptimum decorrelating receiver which has lower complexity. We then investigate how this simple detector performs under general conditions. The overall recognition of new users by the system is achieved by the decorrelating access detector followed by a bit detector that decodes users’ identification information. Performance of the overall access scheme is given and factors effecting the multiuser access capacity of the system are identified.

Nonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems
Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...

This paper describes power-controlled multi carrier and multiuser detection techniques for Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) systems. In conventional CDMA systems, a RAKE receiver is employed to overcome wireless channel effect due to frequency selective characteristics of wireless CDMA systems. متن کاملPerformance Comparison of Non-linear Interference Cancellation Techniques for Multiuser Detection in Ds-cdma System
Direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) is a most popular mobile communication technology. In DS-CDMA communication, signals of all users overlap in time and frequencies and cause multiple access interference (MAI). The conventional DS-CDMA detectors follow the single user matched filter detection technique, in which each user is detected individually without regard for other us...

Two promising classes of techniques are developed for e cient multiuser detection in codedivision multiple-access (CDMA) communication systems subject to fading due to time-varying multipath propagation. Both are designed to jointly suppress both intersymbol and multipleaccess interference inherent in such systems, and exploit all available time and frequency diversity. The rst is a family of l...
